The Field King 190350 backpack sprayer is a high-pressure sprayer with a large piston pump. The large piston promises higher pressure, smaller droplet size, and greater reach. This is a good, inexpensive backpack sprayer which excels at spraying herbicides, insecticides, and other low viscosity fluids.
We’ve had a couple of Field King products come across our desk. We were so used to all of the Solo products, and how they rarely changed the formula from one model to the other. With Field King though we are not sure whether to appreciate their “passion” for constant innovation. If that is what it can be called, or accept the fact that they are still trying to find the right model for their products.
Neither comment is meant to downplay Field King as a brand. On the contrary, we like to see more brands stepping up to the plate and trying to bring decent competition to this market. The emergence of a couple new brands in the last couple of years has forced older manufactures to lower a lot of their prices. Ultimately a big win for consumers and sellers alike as more people have now come into the market looking for better home improvement products. On this occasion, we took a look at the Field King 190350 Backpack Sprayer.
The Field King 190350 Backpack sprayer is not part of field king’s no leak line, though we didn't experience any leaks. Time will tell if this becomes an issue in the future. We'll update this review if anything changes in this department.
The tank size for a backpack sprayer is almost standard at 4-gallons, which is what the Field King 190350 Backpack sprayer features. The tank is a little more rounded than some of the other sprayers. We wondered if this was for greater strength with the higher pressures this sprayer supports. Four gallons is a good balance between weight management and reducing refills.
The Field King 190350 Backpack Sprayer comes with 4 interchangeable nozzles to provide different spraying options. The nozzle selection includes an adjustable brass nozzle which changes from stream to cone patterns. It also includes a wide flat and narrow flat nozzle as well as a foaming nozzle.
There is not that much customer feedback on the Field King 190350 backpack sprayer at the moment. The few comments we could find were positive but overall not many people are talking about this backpack sprayer compared to some of the others. This seems like a solid sprayer to us so far, so we aren't taking the lack of comments as a bad sign just yet.
We love the high pressure the Field King 190358 puts out. It makes it easy to hit those hard to reach places. It also does a great job of creating those fine droplets and even coverage. Also, let's just face it, more power is more fun!
The wand is one of the best ones out there at least that we’ve seen. Like many other products from Field King, it is perfect for those who love to be able to adjust and fix their tools themselves. It can be quickly put together and taken apart.
For all of the lack of information out there, the manual on is excellent concerning how to fix and how to put together the Field King 190350. So even if you are not an expert engineer or mechanic, you can handle a quick fix here and there. This allows the product to be a lot more durable, and probably surpass the lifespan of many other competitor products. Which you end up having to throw away after even a minor flaw.
This is a fairly basic sprayer, you should expect that going in. The straps work but are extremely basic and somehow make the sprayer look old.
I give it 3.5 stars!
If you are looking for an inexpensive, high-pressure backpack sprayer, the Field King 190350 is definitely worth considering. This would be an ideal sprayer for tall trees or getting insecticides up to hard-to-reach locations. The large, durable piston is perfect for low viscosity fluids like herbicides or pesticides, and the high pressure makes it easy to go the distance.
